Maureen Bradley, PT, DPT, CMTPT, Co-director-Arlington
Maureen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her Bachelor’s Degree in exercise and sport science in 2002. While there, she competed as a Division 1 softball player. From there, she went on to get her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from Marymount University in 2006. During her studies at Marymount, she completed internships with a focus in orthopedics in Hawaii, acute rehabilitation and at VSI where she was asked to join the staS right after graduation. Maureen is now the codirector of the Arlington oSice and is the most senior therapist there. She helps run a partnership with Signature theatre where the performers come in for treatment weekly. She also completed all 3 levels of training earning her certification in dry needling (CMTPT). These specialties give Maureen a greater insight into developing treatment programs for her patients. While away from the clinic, she spends a lot of time on the sidelines of fields and courts watching her 4 kids compete in soccer, basketball, field hockey, baseball and flag football, and is an active member of NCL (national charity league) where she volunteers over 75 hours a year.

Shannon Cooley, PT, DPT, Co-director-Arlington
Shannon graduated with honors from West Chester University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree while playing on the women’s soccer team. She continued her education at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine were she earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. She completed clinical rotations in orthopedics, gaining skills in manual therapy and treating the musculoskeletal system. She also completed clinical rotations in pediatrics at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and a spinal cord injury rotation at University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute. Growing up, Shannon competed in competitive sports at all levels and currently enjoys helping patients of all ages with orthopedic conditions. Shannon continues to improve her knowledge and skills through continuing education in order to provide the most current treatment in assisting patients reach their goals. During her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Shane Mondloch, PT, DPT, Arlington
Shane graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science. He began to discover his love for patient care while working in an outpatient PT clinic as an exercise specialist. Shane then decided to return to school to pursue a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree through NOVA at their medical education campus. Since graduating PTA school in 2020, he has worked at numerous locations including a skilled nursing facility and two outpatient clinics allowing him to broaden his expertise in treating patients of varying ages and diagnoses. In pursuit of Shane’s desire to enhance and improve patient’s lives, in 2022, he enrolled at Neumann University in their weekend Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, all while working full-time at VSI/NOC. He plans to graduate in May of 2025 following completion of clinical work in various settings (i.e. Inpatient Rehab and Outpatient Neuro) allowing him to broaden his skill set and clinical knowledge. Shane is passionate about continuing education and staying up to date on the latest research to best serve his patients. He believes that everyone is on their own unique rehab/wellness journey and understands the value in meeting the patient where they are at. In his free time Shane enjoys fitness, watching sports, spending time with his spouse, Chelsea, and their two Australian Shepards, Oakley and Valley, as well as, hanging out with friends and family.

Dianne W Robbins, PTA, Arlington
Dianne has been a member of the Virginia Sportsmedicine Institute staff since 1984. She is primarily retired but continues on with VSI coordinating our partnership with Signature Theatre keeping their performers healthy and on stage during their productions. She and her husband Mark have three daughters and 2 grandchildren.

Colin McCarthy, PT, DPT, Arlington
Colin grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and developed a passion for movement and health through his involvement in gymnastics, which he pursued from an early age through college. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and later completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2023, he became certified in trigger point dry needling.
Colin brings experience treating a diverse range of orthopedic and neurological conditions, with a particular emphasis on patients recovering from workplace injuries. His previous role provided extensive exposure to both complex cases and high patient volumes, sharpening his clinical skills and adaptability.
Outside of the clinic, Colin enjoys traveling, staying active at the gym, playing recreational sports, and relaxing with video games.

Nuraliman Elmegahed, PT, DPT, Arlington
Nur Elmegahed, DPT graduated from Russell Sage College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University at Albany. Nur has experience treating a wide range of conditions, including TMJD, vestibular rehabilitation, post-stroke, spinal cord injuries, neurological and musculoskeletal diagnoses. In addition to that, Nur is currently expanding her knowledge in regards to pelvic floor physical therapy by attending seminars and taking continuing education courses. Nur is LSVT- BIG certified, which is a treatment approach for the management of Parkinson’s disease. Nur also has a vestibular rehab certificate through the American Institute of Balance. In addition to English, Nur is fluent in Arabic and French, and speaks Turkish intermediately. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, and learning different languages. She also enjoys travelling and going on international trips.

Maria Petrella, OTD, OTR/L, Arlington
Maria received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Roanoke College in 2018. She went on to graduate from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where she received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2021. Following graduation, she began working in hand, wrist, and elbow rehabilitation and has been working in this setting ever since.
Maria has a passion for helping patients of all ages with all lifestyles achieve their goals. She specializes in custom splinting, manual therapy, wound care, and individualized exercise programs to fit each client’s needs. Maria is currently pursuing her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys traveling, skiing, attending group fitness classes, and trying new coffee shops in the DMV area.

Nabiel Burhan PTA, AAS, BS, Arlington

Aaron Petty, MBA, PTA, CPT, Director- McLean
Aaron is a fan of all things sports. He continues to play and coach basketball and baseball when he is not busy with his wife and four children. Aaron gained his exposure to physical therapy in high school while he was rehabbing from various sports related injuries. He pursued a degree in Physical Therapy and earned his Associates Degree in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant after graduating in 2000. Aaron also holds a Masters of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from Colorado Technical University. Aaron has 25 years of outpatient clinical experience in Sports Medicine and is also a Certified Personal Trainer. Aaron has worked at VSI for 22 years. He has taken additional course work in lower extremity biomechanics to evaluate and measure for custom foot orthotics.

Sheila Ziglari, PT, DPT, Director- Tysons/Vienna
Sheila earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2020. She has experience in orthopedic care, neurologic conditions, vestibular conditions, and pelvic health. Additionally, Sheila is expanding her manual skills with dry needling courses. Sheila takes a holistic approach to treatment, incorporating each patient’s mindset, goals, and functional abilities into their care. Outside of work, Sheila enjoys yoga, travelling, hiking, and spending time with her dog and loved ones.

John Churan, PT, DPT, Tysons/Vienna
John grew up in northern Virginia and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He later earned his doctorate in physical therapy in 2020 from Marymount University. He is excited to empower individuals across the age and abilities spectrum as a physical therapist that considers the goals and needs of each individual he sees. Outside of his PT work, John and his wife enjoy travelling, riding bikes together, and hanging out with their cats. Additionally, he marries his passions of human physiology and competitive cycling as a bike fitter.
Rehab Techs

Mark Greenlaw, Arlington
Mark completed a bachelors of science at Longwood University in 2020. Mark has been an active athlete since a young age, playing both football and rugby in college, and currently plays in an adult rugby league; which led him finding his love for Physical Therapy. In his free time, Mark enjoys playing Rugby, strength training, snow sports, and trivia.

Gabriel Alzona, McLean
Joining the practice in August 2024, Gabriel takes joy in being of service to people seeking guidance. He has a background in health sciences, as well as personal training/health and fitness. Outside of his occupation, he indulges in photography, strength sports, and art.

Brookes Potter, McLean
Brookes was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Lynchburg College in 2012 then moved back to St. Louis where he was a Personal Trainer from 2014 to 2022. He moved Vienna Virginia in 2022 with his wife and made a career change to the Physical Therapy field.

Jana Mohammed, Tysons/Vienna
Jana is one of the rehab techs for VSI, She is a licensed physical therapist in Egypt and came to the US in 2024 to pursue a career as a physical therapist here. She is planning to become licensed by 2026. In the meantime, she enjoys being able to learn from the physical therapists and assisting each patient’s rehab goals in clinic. Outside of work, Jana likes reading, exploring new restaurants in the DMV area, and going for walks in nature.

Egypt has been in healthcare administration for 6 years now,. She spends her free time with her three children. She enjoys crafting and decorating with her oldest daughter and trying new hobbies.
